I like planning my trips. Should I still work with a travel advisor? 

We view our relationships with our clients as collaborative and consultative, understanding that travel is deeply personal and typically a large investment. As professionals, we bring our expertise and quality assurance to your trip. We work directly with partners who live in the area you’re traveling to and provide extraordinary experiences you simply cannot find on Google. Our clients can be as involved or as “hands off” as they prefer during the planning process. We can’t wait to show you the difference working with a travel advisor can make! 

Do you charge a planning fee?

As professional consultants, we do charge for our services. After a complimentary phone consultation, we will charge an initial non-refundable fee to begin working together. We offer a variety of services, allowing you to choose how you work with us. These fees protect our time and the value of our expertise and are calculated based on the complexity of the trip, including the number of destinations, number of travelers, trip length, and vicinity of time to departure. 

Do you have a minimum trip cost required to work with you?

Every trip and client's needs are different, so we do not have a trip cost minimum in place. Our preferred partnerships are primarily with 4-star and 5-star properties. For European itineraries, our services are best matched with clients willing to invest a minimum of $1,000 per day per couple. Should you find that those parameters don’t exactly fit your current needs, we encourage you to still reach out. We are happy to consult on trips by phone for a flat-fee.

When should I reach out to start planning my trip?

We encourage you to reach out earlier, rather than later. We recommend reaching out at least 6 months ahead of your trip. For certain destinations (Africa, Japan, Caribbean during Christmas and New Years) or event specific travel (sporting events, concerts), we recommend that we start planning at least 12 months in advance. That said, we do love the thrill of a last minute trip and are able to assist with these on a case-by-case basis. 

Do you breakdown pricing on proposals?

Whenever possible, we break down trip costs in a proposal. However, many of the industry’s best travel suppliers negotiate confidential wholesale rates with their individual guides/suppliers, and are contractually unable to break down costs when pricing a customized itinerary. We only work with trusted suppliers that we know are committed to negotiating fair prices for extraordinary experiences for our clients.

Do you book flights?

In order to allow us to properly service each booking, we do not book economy airfare. We can book business class and first class airfare for a supplemental fee. We are happy to recommend routes and dates based on your inquiry. We recommend clients review airfare pricing prior to solidifying your itinerary dates. 

Are you able to book with my points or airline miles?

We are not able to book clients' travel using miles or points. However, we understand that these are valuable. If you would like to utilize points, we suggest that you use these to book your airfare. When you book hotels through a credit card desk, it comes through to the hotel as just another confirmation number. Our membership in exclusive preferred partner programs with luxury hotel brands elevate clients’ status to a tier above every other booking channel. Unlike the credit card companies, we have relationships with the hotels and people behind them. These relationships ensure our clients receive preferential treatment and service throughout their experience. 

Should I purchase travel insurance?

We always recommend protecting your investment! Once your trip is under deposit, we will send you a travel insurance quote.
